On one of the records I'm keying in, the age is given as '35?'. Please can you let me know if I should include the question mark?
Thanks very much. Sue
Another couple of questions: 1. There is no year given under the 'Date of Entry' column heading in the current images I'm inputting, but there is '1916' under the 'No.' column heading. I've assumed that's the year but am I correct to include it as it's not in the 'Date of Entry' column?
- A: The instructions for Entry Year only say that it is "most often found at the top of the column entitled "Date of Entry", so it should be o.k. to key it if it appears somewhere else. --Katerimmer (talk) 16:09, 6 September 2016 (MDT)
2. In the Name column, some records have what appears to be 'Re.' or possibly 'Rc.' added before the surname e.g. 'Re. Ward M M.'. Please can you advise me what the correct letters are (and just out of interest what they stand for) and if they should be input into the 'Prefix' column? Please see this screen shot for more information - https://www.ancestry.com/wiki/index.php?title=File:Prefix-query.jpg.jpg
- A: My guess is that it stands for "Readmission", and whatever it means, it should not be keyed as a prefix. --Katerimmer (talk) 16:09, 6 September 2016 (MDT)
I don't know whether you are aware, but this discussion page is not the one which is connected to the current wiki page for this project. If you search for Dreadnought in the search box on the left it should come up with the right one. I will try to copy this Q and A into the current discussion page tomorrow. --Katerimmer (talk) 16:09, 6 September 2016 (MDT) Update - I have copied them over.
