Sonoma is a county in California. It was formed in 1850 from the following county/ies: original. Sonoma began keeping birth records in 1858 , marriage records in 1846, and death records in 1873. It began keeping land records in 1841, probate records in 1850, and court records in 1848. For more information, contact the county at 575 Administration Dr, Santa Rosa 95401. On the attached map, Sonoma is located at D1 . Land was added from Mendocino County in 1855 and again in 1859.
