Somerset is a county in Maine. It was formed in 1809 from the following county/ies: Kennebec. Somerset began keeping marriage records in 1828–89 now held by the county clerk. It began keeping land records in 1804, and probate records in 1830. For more information, contact the county at Corner and High Streets Skowhegan 04976-9801.
