Pierce is a county in Washington. It was formed in 1852 from the following county/ies: Thurston. Pierce began keeping birth records in 1891, marriage records in 1853, and death records in 1891. It began keeping land records in 1858, probate records in 1855, and court records in 1855. For more information, contact the county at 930 Tacoma Ave. S., Rm 737, Tacoma 98402-2102.
