Monroe is a county in Michigan. It was formed in 1817 from the following county/ies: Wayne. Monroe began keeping birth records in 1874, marriage records in 1818, and death records in 1867. It began keeping land records in 1806, probate records in 1817, and court records in 1805. For more information, contact the county at 106 E. First St., Monroe 48161-2115.
