Mono is a county in California. It was formed in 1861 from the following county/ies: Calaveras/Fresno/Mariposa. Mono began keeping birth records in 1873, marriage records in 1862, and death records in 1877. It began keeping land records in 1861, probate records in 1864, and court records in 1864. For more information, contact the county at P.O. Box 715, Bridgeport 93517. On the attached map, Mono is located at E5. Land from Amador County was added in 1866 .
