Lamar is a county in Mississippi. It was formed in 1904 from the following counties: Marion/Pearl River. It was named for LQC Lamar. Lamar began keeping birth records in ——, marriage records in 1904, and death records in ——. It began keeping land records in 1836*, probate records in 1901, and court records in ?.
