Johni Cerny, president and founder of Lineages, Inc., is a nationally known lecturer and researcher specializing in slave, colonial Virginia, and immigrant ancestry. She has been an editor of many major genealogical resource publications, including co-editor of Ancestry’s The Library: A Guide to the LDS Family History Library, which won the Reference Book of the Year Award from the American Library Association in 1989.
