Ionia is a county in Michigan. It was formed in 1831 (1837) from the following county/ies: Michilimackinac *Kent. Ionia began keeping birth records in 1867, marriage records in 1837, and death records in 1867. It began keeping land records in 1836, probate records in 1835, and court records in 1845.
