Genesee is a county in New York. It was formed in 1802 from the following county/ies: Ontario. The earliest land deed in Genesee was recorded in 1803. Surrogate's Court records begin in 1805. One can contact the Surrogate's Court at 1 W. Main St., P.O. Box 462, Batavia 14020-0462. For more information, contact the county at P.O. Box 379, Batavia 14021-0379.
