Fresno is a county in California. It was formed in 1856 from the following county/ies: Mariposa/Merced/Tulare. Fresno began keeping birth records in 1873, marriage records in 1856, and death records in 1873. It began keeping land records in 1856, probate records in 1880, and court records in 1856. For more information, contact the county at 2281 Tulare St, Fresno 93721. On the attached map, Fresno is located at G3. Land was later added from counties Merced (1856) and Tulare (1856) .
