Franklin is a county in Maine. It was formed in 1838 from the following county/ies: Cumberland/Kennebec/ Oxford/Somerset. Franklin began keeping marriage records in 1848–91 at the county clerk. It began keeping land records in 1838, and probate records in 1838. For more information, contact the county at 38 Main St. Farmington 04938. On the attached map, Franklin is located at B8.
