This map of T16S R9W in what is now Columbia County, Arkansas (established 1852 from Union County) shows Daniel Kinard’s two parcels in section 19. Because the map gives names and purchase dates for all federal patents, Kinard’s “neighborhood” can be reconstructed for various years.
