FASG is an acronym that stands for Fellow of the American Society of Genealogists. It is often used as a post-nominal in the field of genealogy.
The Fellows of the American Society of Genealogists is an honorary society whose membership is limited to fifty. To become a Fellow of the society, you must be elected by the other Fellows in recognition of "a candidate's published genealogical genealogical scholarship." [1]
You can view a list of current Fellows at the The American Society of Genealogists website.
