Dukes is a county in Massachusetts. It was formed in 1683 as a New York County0 1695 from the following county/ies: Mass. County. It began keeping land records in 1686, probate records in 1696, and court records in 1665. For more information, contact the county at 81 Main St., Edgartown 02539. On the attached map, Dukes is located at H7. Records from 1665 deal with Martha’s Vineyard.
