Drontheim is the German exonym for the Norwegian city of Trondheim. Its usage in English is rare, though even the Foreign Office sometimes used it, as in 1857 H N Knutzen is listed[1] as the unpaid Vice-Consul at Drontheim, having held that position since 26 June 1844.
