Descendants of the Knights of the Bath

Any man or woman shall be eligible for membership in the Order who, being a citizen of good repute in the community, is the lineal descendant, in the male or female line, of an ancestor who was invested as a Knight of Bath, who was at all times unfailing in loyalty to, and rendered active service in the cause for, the King or Queen. These Knights are listed in the Rolls of the Knights of Bath, from the year 1127 A.D. through the year 1904 A.D. (1127 - 1904). This list may be found in William A. Shaw's Knights of England. Should a candidate choose to use a knight from the period 1905 through the present day, that candidate shall provide "proof" of that ancestor having been invested as a Knight of Bath.
