Currituck is a county in North Carolina. It was formed in about 1681 (as a precinct; declared a county, 1739) from the following county/ies: Carteret Precinct, Albemarle County. Currituck began keeping birth records in 1914, marriage records in 1851, and death records in 1914. It began keeping land records in 1735, probate records in 1772, and court records in 1799.
