Carter is a county in Oklahoma. It was formed in 1907 from the following county/ies: Chickasaw Nation. Carter began keeping birth records in 1930, marriage records in 1895, and death records in 1930. It began keeping land records in 1907, probate records in 1908, and court records in 1895. For more information, contact the county at 1st and B St. SW/P.O. Box 1236 Ardmore 73402-1236.
