Bladen is a county in North Carolina. It was formed in 1734 (as Pelham Precinct; renamed 1734) from the following county/ies: New Hanover Precinct, Bath County. Bladen began keeping birth records in 1913, marriage records in 1868, and death records in 1913. It began keeping land records in 1784, probate records in 1766, and court records in 1866.
