Berkeley is a county in West Virginia. It was formed in 1772 from Frederick, Va. Berkeley began keeping birth records in 1865, marriage records in 1781, and death records in 1865. It began keeping land records in 1772, probate records in 1772, and court records in 1772. For more information, contact the county at 126 W. King St., Martinsburg 25401-3210.
