Barnes is a county in North Dakota. It was formed in 1873 (as Burbank; renamed as Barnes, 1875) from the following county/ies: Pembina. Barnes began keeping birth records in 1893–1910, marriage records in 1882, and death records in 1893–1910. It began keeping land records in 1875, probate records in 1875, and court records in 1875.
