The Family History Department of The Church of Jesus Christ of
Latter-day Saints has just announced that the 1881 Canadian Census records are
now available. This set of three data CD-ROM disks contains 4.3 million records.
A fourth disk included with the set contains the needed Windows software. The
1881 Canadian Census set of CD-ROM disks costs $11.
The new Canadian CD-ROM set was just announced this week. As I
was finishing this week’s newsletter, the postal carrier delivered a set
of the CD-ROMs to me. I expect to write a review of these new disks in next
