create. With Ancestry’s new tree building wizard, you can easily create your own tree starting with yourself and your parents and return to update it at any time. And if you already have a family tree saved elsewhere, as an Ancestry member you can easily import it using the standard GEDCOM format.

build. Once you’ve created your tree you can start building a rich picture of your ancestors’ lives through the Person View.  Here you can add photos, records and details of events which shaped the lives of your ancestors, from births, christenings and marriages to military service, graduation, apprenticeships and much more. And don’t forget if you discover something new you can go back and update this information any time.

share. You can invite relatives and friends to view your family tree and share your discoveries with them.  You determine what can and can’t be seen about your ancestors.  You can also connect with other Ancestry members searching for the same ancestors and share your experiences on the Ancestry Community message boards.
