There have just been some interesting ideas on reunion recognition.
A few years ago a friend of mine had a fairly small one (about 70 people) and he came up with this idea.
When each one registered for the reunion, they were asked to provide the size T-shirt they could wear (even over other clothing). Because they were Irish the color of course had to be green. Each shirt then had a large number printed on it to correspond to their individual position in the family chart that was presented. Each person was given a copy of the list and it was also posted in various spots around their gathering area. Even an infant born two weeks before had a number.
