Did any of you watch the Public Broadcasting Services series
"1900 House," where they put a modern day family in a 1900s house
in England? For the past year or so, PBS has been working on a new project called
"Frontier House." It runs from 29 April 291 May. Each episode is
one hour long.
"Frontier House" is sort of "Survivor" 1880s
style. For those with western pioneer familiesor notit should be an
excellent series, well worth watching. The introduction to the series states:
"Have you ever wondered what life was really like for pioneers living in
the American West during the late 19th century? How did they fare without the
modern conveniences we take for granted? Could a modern-day family handle a
pioneer family's lifestyle? Join us as we try to answer some of these questions."
Information on the series can be found at: www.pbs.org/wnet/frontierhouse.
My thanks to Dave Taft for letting me know about "Frontier
House."
