Much of this weeks newsletter was written in airports and
on board Delta Airlines. I had a great time this weekend in Dallas as a guest
of the Dallas Genealogy Society. I had the honor of giving several presentations
about various technology-related topics at their monthly "Lecture Series."
Perhaps the most enjoyable part of the trip occurred when fifty
or so hungry genealogists descended on a local Tex-Mex restaurant after the
days presentations had ended. It is great to eat with new-found friends
when traveling in cities far from home. I had a great time, and I think most
of the attendees enjoyed it.
To Tresa Tatyrek, John and Barb Wiley, and everyone else involved
in producing this weekends meeting: Thanks for the invitation and the
great time.
