MyFamily.com Inc. operates the most popular genealogy Web sites
in the world, including Ancestry.com, RootsWeb.com and MyFamily.com. This week
the company announced the appointment of a new president and chief executive
officer. Tom Stockham will be responsible for the direction, overall financial
performance, and all operational functions of the company.
Stockham most recently was president of access and emerging markets
for Ticketmaster, the world's leading ticketing and access company and part
of USA Networks Interactive (USAI). In previous roles at Ticketmaster, Stockham
was president of online ticketing, which in 2000 generated in excess of $860
million in online ticketing and reservations; vice-president of international
development; and general manager of one of the original Citysearch offices.
Prior to Ticketmaster, he was a founder and president of Sonic Innovations and
was an associate at the Boston Consulting Group. Stockham received his Bachelor's
degree from Dartmouth College and holds a Masters of Business Administration
from Stanford University.
