The next major genealogy conference in North America will be held
25-26 January 2002 in Boston. GENTECH 2002 promises to be the biggest ever showcase
for technology-related topics in genealogy. You can read my recent article about
GENTECH 2002 at www.ancestry.com/library/view/columns/eastman/4552.asp
or read the conference details on GENTECH’s homepage at www.gentech.org.
This week the GENTECH organizers announced the availability of
a free eNewsletter for the GENTECH 2002 conference. Periodic issues will cover
updates and changes to the printed registration brochure. They will also provide
additional information about Boston sights, conference events, and planned speakers.
The publication schedule calls for issues every two weeks up to
the holidays, and then more frequent updates that last a month before the conference
date. If you are interested in GENTECH 2002 conference information, sign up
before the newsletter is published and you won't miss any news.
The eNewsletter will come in either HTML or text format, based
on your mail program. It will also be posted on the GENTECH Web site.
To subscribe to the GENTECH 2002 eNewsletter, go to lb.bcentral.com/ex/manage/subscriberprefs?customerid=15243.
There is a survey included in signup, but the questions are optional. Again,
the newsletter is free.
