Census Images Now Available Online at a Special Price

Ancestry.com today announced that for a limited time, the new U.S. Federal Census subscription, which allows users to have access to images of original census records online, will be available at a special, low price. Annual subscriptions are being offered to current Ancestry.com subscribers for $29.95 as an introductory offer for the next month.

The first images to be posted online as part of the subscription are from the 1790 census. The census schedules contained in the subscription represent the most important and sought-after group of genealogical records in the United States. The information supplied with each individual in the census allows researchers to determine family structure, ages, residence, occupation, and more.

Following the introductory offer, Ancestry.com subscribers will pay $39.95 a year for a Census Subscription. Non-Ancestry.com subscribers may also purchase a Census Subscription for $59.95 for a full year or $19.95 for three-months. Should annual Census-only subscribers wish to add an Ancestry.com subscription later, they may for an additional $39.95.
