NARA Publishes Proposed Rule on Reproduction Fee Schedule

The National Archives and Records Administration published a proposed rule in the April 25, 2000 Federal Register to revise its fee schedule for reproduction of records in its custody. After reviewing all of the comments on the proposed rule, NARA will issue a final rule this fall.

The new fee schedule will not go into effect on September 1, as originally proposed. When the final rule is published, there will be a 30-day waiting period before it becomes effective. Notices will be posted in research rooms and on the NARA Web site when the final rule is published.

Updates will be posted on NARA’s Genealogy page.
