In Lesson 3, "Searching the 1930 Census," you searched for your relatives in the 1930 U.S. Federal Census. You can use clues found in one record (in this case, the census) to find other records about the same individual. The census can be a jumping off point to getting a more detailed picture of your ancestor’s life.
The 1930 census contains information about an individual’s family members, birth date and place, marriage date, immigration, and military service.
This lesson explains some of the clues you might find in the records—and what you can do with the information you find. As you go through the lesson, you might want to refer directly to the census record or census form.
