The following sections will help you access and participate in the Ancestry World Tree.

Adding to the Ancestry World Tree

To add an Online Family Tree to the Ancestry World Tree, follow the instructions below:

1. From the main Online Family Tree page, locate the Online Family Tree you want to add to the Ancestry World Tree.
   
   
2. Click the World icon located to the right of the name of the Online Family Tree. A World Tree Submission Agreement will display in a separate browser window.
   
   
3. If you agree to the submission rules, click the Accept button. If you do not want to post your family tree to the Ancestry World Tree, click the Cancel button. If you click the Accept button, a confirmation window will display notifying you that your Online Family Tree will be included in the Ancestry World Tree within ten days.
   
   
4. Click the OK button.

Note: After you have uploaded the Online Family Tree the world icon will display with a red arrow pointing up. You can click this icon to update the Online Family Tree to the Ancestry World Tree. Also, a world icon with an X through it will now display to the right of this icon allowing you to remove the data from the Ancestry World Tree.

Removing From the Ancestry World Tree

To remove an Online Family Tree from the Ancestry World Tree, follow the instructions below:

1. From the main Online Family Tree page, locate the Online Family Tree you want to remove from the Ancestry World Tree.
   
   
2. Click the World icon with a red X over it located to the right of the name of the Online Family Tree. A confirmation window will display.
   
   
3. Confirm the deletion by clicking the OK button.

Note: The world icon with a red X over it will only display if you have uploaded the file to the Ancestry World Tree.

Updating the Ancestry World Tree

To update the Online Family Tree to the Ancestry World Tree, follow the instructions below:

1. From the main Online Family Tree page, locate the Online Family Tree you want to update to the Ancestry World Tree.
   
   
2. Click the World icon with a small red arrow over it located to the right of the name of the Online Family Tree. A confirmation window will display.
   
   
3. Confirm the update by clicking the OK button.

Note: The world icon with a red arrow over it will only display if the file has been uploaded to the Ancestry World Tree
