Message Boards

Ancestry.com hosts more than 100,000 message boards containing millions of messages devoted to surnames, localities, and other genealogical topics. This free Web community is divided into three main categories: Surnames, Localities, and Topics. To access the message boards, follow the instructions below:

1. Click the Share navigation tab. The Share Your Family History page will display.
   
   
2. Click the Message Boards link located in the section links. This is the main page of the message boards feature.
   
   
3. To access the message boards, users may follow the links on the main body of the page, specify keywords the Search field and click the Go button, or fill in the Find a Board field.
