Maps and Gazetteers
Visit the Map Center

Ancestry.com has a vast collection of maps of the United States, Europe, and the world. These maps are best viewed while searching by locality in the Search area of the site. To visit this area, follow the instructions below:

1. Click the Search tab located at the top of the page. Ancestry's Advanced Search page will display.
   
   
2. Click the Search by Locality link located in the section links. A map of the United States and other areas will display.
   
   
3. Select any U.S. state from the map (or any other applicable area if browsing internationally). A summary of databases at Ancestry.com will appear for this locality. A list of appliciable Maps in its own section--click on the Maps tab near the top-right of this list.
