Genealogy Basics
First Steps

This section provides the beginning researcher with the necessary information they need to get started finding their ancestors. To access this section of the Web site follow the instructions below:

1. Click the Learn tab located at the top of the page. The Learn@Ancestry.com page will display.
   
   
2. Click the Getting Started link located in the section links. The Getting Started page will display.
   
   
3. Click the First Steps link located in the left navigation bar. The First Steps page will display.
   
   
4. A list of subtopics will display in the left navigation bar under the First Steps title. To access any of these subtopics, click on them.
