Photo Corner: Photograph Find

Contributed by Sharon McDonald Hart

This is a photo of my great-great-grandfather (the man on the left). My husband and I had taken a ride up to Woodstock, Vermont and were wandering around an antique mall. I spotted a box of photographs of people from the late 1800s-early 1900s and picked out a random photo. Lo and behold, it was this picture of my great, great grandfather and his twin brother. You could have knocked me over with a feather. I’m convinced that I was “led” to this picture! It now holds a prominent place on a shelf with many other family pictures.
I’ll never know how a picture of my ancestor ended up in northern Vermont since my family lived in Rhode Island.
