Anyone that is interested in finding their past, improving their research skills, and connecting with other genealogists would enjoy the FGS Conference. 

Ancestry will have an exhibit in the Expo Hall, which is open and free to the public.  Come see the vendors and services that are available there, including the free in-booth demos in the Ancestry exhibit.

IAJGS (International Association of Jewish Genealogical Societies)

Focus in 2017:  Taking Your Research to the Next Level

There will be several tracks at this conference, ranging in topics from research in specific areas to DNA and how to make the most of your DNA test results.  The conference runs from 9:00 am on Sunday, July 23 thru 12:00 pm on Friday, July 28, 2017.  

BYU Conference

This is BYU’s 149th annual Family History and Genealogy conference.  There will be more than 100 classes, including classes for beginners thru advanced researchers.

SoCal Jamboree

Theme:  Hunting Your Heritage

Jamboree 2017 will feature over 85 national, regional and local speakers and over 125 classes this year.  Anyone interested in genealogy and expanding their research skills is welcome to attend.  This year there will be a focus on the British Isles, Ireland, Armenia and the Caucasus and African American Research.

Thursday, Jun 8 is DNA day, and is devoted to exploring how DNA can help you with your own family history research.

NGS (National Genealogical Society)

NGS offers more than 175 classes for all research levels from beginner to advanced, taught by experts from Ancestry as well as other expert researchers.  This is an excellent way to improve research skills and connect with other researchers. 

Come see the Ancestry exhibit and sit in on our in-booth demos in the Expo Hall, which is free to the public.  Expo hall hours are:

                Wednesday, May 10       9:30 am – 5:30 pm

                Thursday, May 11             9:00 am – 5:30 pm

                Friday, May 12                   9:00 AM – 5:30 PM

NERGC (New England Regional Genealogical Conference)

Theme:  Using the Tools of Today & Tomorrow to Understand the Past

Ancestry is going to the NERGC this year.  The Expo Hall is free and open to the public, so come visit the Ancestry exhibit. There will be many classes taught by experts, covering a variety of family history related topics.  

The Expo Hall hours are:

                Thursday and Friday, Apr 27-28 9:00 am – 5:00 pm

                 Saturday, Apr 29 9:00 am – 3:30 pm.

Who Do You Think You Are Live 2017

WDYTYA is billed as the world’s largest family history show, and this year is Ancestry’s 10th year as the principal sponsor.  Come to the Expo Hall to see the many vendors and services offered there, as well as attend presentations by various family history experts.

Hours are:  Thursday, Friday and Saturday, 6-8 April, 9:30 am – 7:30 pm

RootsTech 2017

RootsTech features over 200 classes for all levels of family history researchers, from beginning to advanced.  Classes begin on Wednesday, Feb 8 and run thru Saturday, Feb 11.

The Expo Hall is free to the public, so come spend some time learning from the vendors there.  Ancestry will have 20 minute in-booth demos in our exhibit all day, that will cover a wide range of topics.  Come enjoy these even if you don’t attend the entire conference.  The Expo Hall hours are:
